Where a bin sorter sits
This is a dry-end machine inside a flooring plant, not a green sorter. Lico describes the application precisely: it is for operations that want to cross out and remove ripped strip defects before the material goes into storage and comes back onto the flooring line. It runs up to 140 pieces per minute and can hold up to 50 different sorts at once.
The reason a plant wants this before storage rather than after is that a flooring line runs fixed widths and random lengths, so material comes back out of storage and straight into profiling. Anything that should have been culled has by then had handling, floor space and inventory spent on it.
